Temple Run Review:

Run as fast as possible Are you a hardcore fan of Endless Runner Games? If yes, then surely you would love to play Temple Run, as it is offering quite impressive gameplay, setting, and graphics. Imangi develops the game and released for both mobile devices, such as Android and iOS. The game draws inspiration from the chase scenes found in the movie, “Indiana Jones”. Controlling a character from a third-person perspective is quite easy, but maintaining the balance during high jumps and monkey-chase is quite challenging as there is a variety of hurdles that you should overcome to earn more points and defeat other players on leaderboards. Throughout the game, the character will die in several ways, from being captured by a pack of wild monkeys to bashing the head on the branch or running off a cliff. During a run, the main objective is to collect gold coins and fulfill the requirement of each goal. Gameplay Similar to Subway Surfers and Granny Runs, the game embarks you on an endless epic adventure to run as fast as possible, while collecting gold coins to unlock additional power-ups. Many playable characters are there, from which you choose your favorite one to start the adventure. Each playable character has varied skills and abilities. The game begins with two characters, one of them is an explorer, known as Guy Dangerous, and the names of the remaining characters are the following: · Scarlett Fox (An Escape Artist) · Barry Bones (A Cop) · Karma Lee (The Fastest Runner) · Montana Smith (Explorer) · Zack Wonder (Football Star) The game takes place in an ancient temple, where you, along with the chosen character, will set off on a journey to seek a valuable golden idol from a temple. During the time of arrival, you didn’t have any idea that the temple is full of strange demonic monkeys who are looking for you to devour. After discovering them, the real action will start as you run with an ancient idol in your hand from a third-person perspective to save your life. The game begins with a tutorial that will teach you how to play the game and overcome all obstacles. Prepare yourself to involve in endless hours of fun, because there’s no end and your character will run until he collides into an obstacle or falls. Visuals The game features crisp graphics, taking you back to the time of Indiana Jones. Temple Run 2 serves as the sequel to the original one and comes with detailed graphics and superb mechanics. It uses the exact graphics that grant you exciting gameplay like never before and lets you find some rare artifacts to boost your power. There’s no end, but the game sets some objectives to achieve, and the completion of each goal will unlock rewards. Controls As mentioned above, the game begins with a tutorial allowing you to learn how to control the character. You can tilt your device to move your character right or left, swipe your finger to make your character jump, and slide accordingly and can double-tap the screen to activate the booster to double up your speed. In short, it offers one-finger controls, though the device requires to tilt to move the character. The insane obstacles include low-level bushes, small trees, a pack of wild monkeys, tricky turns, and more.

Temple Run offers a fast and fascinating experience on mobile devices. The mixture of tilt and swiping controls provides you with outstanding feelings like never before. For now, the game seems like a small pack of derivative, but quite fun to play.
